Day 1 Arrival in Vevey
The first leg of our journey takes us to Vevey, a charming Swiss town on the shores of Lake Geneva. This picturesque place is renowned for its spectacular scenery, between majestic mountains and crystal-clear waters. Vevey is also home to the famous covered market and the museum dedicated to Charlie Chaplin, who lived here during his last years.
Day 2 Vevey – Gruyères/Surroundings 40-50 km
From the city centre of Vevey, take the rack railway up to the Mont-Pèlerin. Quiet roads lead you to the source of the most popular cheese of Switzerland: the Gruyère, which shares its name with the region. A recent symphony of green melancholy, cowbells and customs.
Day 3 Gruyères/Surroundings – Gstaad/Surroundings 46 km
Postcard country Switzerland: cheeseries, chalets, snowy mountains, cable cars, hotel scent and paper cutting. Away from the idyll, the Pays d’Enhaut and the Saaneneland are a magnificent landscape, ani mated by the haze of celebrity and happy mountain goers.
Day 4 Gstaad/Surroundings – Spiez 53 km
The artfully decorated wooden houses of the Simmental are among the most beautiful in Europe. The Simme remains a wild river that demands a lot from dinghy riders. On to Spiez, a water sports paradies on the cheerful lake Thun.
Day 5 Spiez – Lake Sarnen 60 km
A boat ride from Spiez to Interlaken in the morning. On the shore of Lake Brienz there is a steep ascent to Meiringen to be completed where you can take the train across the Brünigpass. You reach Obwalden : a small Canton, a big Valley, a pre-alpine landscape with scattered villages, flat lakes and long traditions.
Day 6 Lake Sarnen – Lucerne 35 km
As soon as you get a glimpse of the Lake of Lucerne, the Pilatus is in your path. Bay after bay right to Lucerne, a fixed point for every tourist.
Day 7 Departure or extension
It is time to say goodbye, it is the end of your cycle holiday or maybe do you want to stay an extra night ?
