Day by day

Day 1 Orange

Arrival to your Hotel in Orange. Time to visit the Roman monuments as the theatre one of the best preserved of all Roman theatres.

Day 2 Orange—Vaison-la-Romaine 34 km

You leave Orange and its quiet streets to cycle along the vineyards and reach “les Dentelles du Montmirail”. Sablet and Gigondas, well-known winegrowing villages give the opportunity for an easy stroll or for the discovery of  Roman excavations.

Day 3 Vaison-la-Romaine – Mazan 45 km

This day, you will cycle along the beautiful valleys of Ouvèze and reach Malaucène. Here, you can enjoy another face of the famous Mont Ventoux and have a stunning view of the vineyards and the luxuriant countryside.

Day 4 Mazan – Sault 42 km

A worthwhile step! You will discover the most beautiful Gorges of Southern France: “les Gorges de la Nesque”. Then, after passing through picturesque streets you will stop at Sault.

Day 5 Sault – Apt 44 km

You can once again enjoy another side of the Mont Ventoux. Here, you can take a look at the Provence lavender fields and smell its sweet flagrance. You cross the regional park of Luberon with its diversified nature: stone quarries, soaring limestone mountains, olive-tree plantings. You will also discover the picturesque villages.

Day 6 Apt – Pernes-les-Fontaines 69 km

From Apt you cycle along fruit cultures of Isle-sur-Sorgue and visit its antiquity shops and go then to Pernes with its water-mills.

Day 7 Pernes-les-Fontaines – Orange 49 km

Once again you will enjoy a view of the Mont Ventoux all-day long. You will cycle from the vineyards of Vaucluse to Beaumes-de-Venise. This is where the Muscat is produced and so it can be the perfect moment for a wine testing and a visit of its oil mills “le moulin à huile de la Balméenne”. You will then go back to Orange.
