There is no region in France where more sagas, legends and myths exist. Nowhere else language, garbs and tradition are more cultivated than in Brittany. Thanks to its special geography, the area is very particular land and the habitants mostly feel more Breton than French. This mysterious land, with its bold cliffs, marvelous viewpoints and the small, sheltered, picturesque harbors give the Breton landscape the special rough allure. A cycle tour is literally ideal to get to know the various landscapes, with the richness of monuments, real folk custom and tradition. Known for its fresh and excellent cuisine and the buoyant and liberal-minded people, this journey will be unforgettable.

Arrival in Dinard at the coast Ile-et-Vilaine. After check-in, welcome drink at 6 pm. Afterwards first Breton dinner. Bon Appetit!

Day 2  Fréhel – Cap Fréhel – Fort La Latte — St Cast  47 km

Transfer by bus to the peninsula of Fréhel. From there on we will take the bike. The ride brings us to the Fréhel Plage, where you are welcomed by a wonderful panorama. We are following the coast, with a magnificent view on the sea and its coastal landscape. At the Cap Fréhel we will leave the bikes for approximately one hour. The best way to visit the Cap Fréhel is by foot. With its 72m high cape it is one of the most impressive natural spectacles on Brittany. At the same time it is an important bird reserve, so do not forget your binoculars. After a one-hour walk, where you can admire the cape with all its beauty, we will continue the journey by bike to the Fort La Latte. Visit of the fantastically located fort castle before we enjoy our lunch. Partly through the hinterlands, we arrive St Cast de Guildo. Here you have the possibility to dive into the refreshing sea.

Day 3  St Malo—Cancale  39 km

You are cycling directly into the former pirates- and corsairs’ city Saint Malo!  During the city tour you will lead lore about the moving time of corsairs and pirates. While walking on the „Rempart“ we can admire the view on the bay around St Malo. But today’s stage isn’t over yet. You will leave St Malo with a wonderful view on the long beach of the suburbs. Further we cycle via Rotheneuf to Point du Grouin. To discover the birdlife of the Um Point du Grouin, we will take a short walk. Then we cycle to the picturesque harbor of Cancale. It is a famous center of oysters’ production. Afterwards we will have an oyster tasting, directly at the sea side. Here you can also get to know the Muscadet wine. Small Dégustation of Muscadet, but watch out, we have to climb the hill to get out of Cancale!

Day 4  Rance river estuary—Dinan  68 km

From Dinard, transfer to the Riverside of the Rance River. Along the estuary we cycle towards the interior to Dinan. Breathtaking! You get a impression of the lovely Breton back country.
