Day 1 Reims
On your arrival in Reims, you might have time to visit the beautiful city of Reims. Take the time to walk to the wonderful Cathedral of Reims. It’s a unique masterpiece of the gothic style and classified as a UNESCO site. Even though the cathedrale suffered from the 2 world wars, you will enjoy the great work of renovation. In Reims, you can also visit some houses of champagne and finish with a Champagne tasting.
Day 2 Reims – Epernay 47 km
You start your cycling day along canal Aisne – Marne. You leave the city of Reims on the quiet towpath along the canal with the bikes. Hilly part of the Champagne vineyards. In Chigny les Roses a stop is necessary. Here are 41 wine cellars. The tour ends in Epernay, time to discover the Avenue of Champagne.
Day 3 Epernay – Epernay 35 km
Before starting your cycling day, you will discover the worldwide well known Champagne maker: Moët & Chandon/Mercier with a visit and tasting. Today the route will lead you through some charming wine growing villages. The landmark is very typical for the Champagne region. You will have many possibilities to stop at a Wine maker to taste the very delicate Blanc de Blanc Champagne.
Easy cycling back to Epernay. It is now time to say goodbye – au revoir !
