Day 1 Rouffach
Travel to Rouffach. Before the welcome cocktail and dinner, opportunity to stroll through the village at the foot of the vineyards.
Day 2 Southern Alsace Wine Route 51 km
The day is entirely dedicated to wine. Most of the cycle route leads through the wine route. At the various stops, your cycle tour guide will tell you more about the cultivation of the precious vines. During the wine tasting in Kientzheim, you will get to know the variety of Alsatian wines. You then cycle on to idyllic Kaysersberg, the birthplace of Albert Schweitzer, birthplace of Albert Schweitzer. Stroll through the picturesque old town. Then return to the castle.
Day 3 Kaysersberg – Ribeauvillé – Barr 43 km
After breakfast, you cycle along the “Route du Vin”, through the famous vineyards of
Riquewihr, Ribeauvillé and Barr. Shortly before arriving in Riquewihr, a photo stop with a magnificent view of the surrounding wine region. Riquewihr is one of the most beautiful villages in France. From here, the route continues along picturesque paths towards Ribeauvillé and Barr. From a distance, you can marvel at the Hochkönigsburg, the mightiest castle in Alsace dating back to the 12th century. Stop in Dambach-la-Ville. Here you can enjoy a wine tasting at the Ruhlmann family estate. The destination of today’s stage is Barr.
Day 4 Ebersmünster – Colmar 42 km
Today’s stage starts at the most beautiful baroque church in Alsace, the Ebersmünster. From there, you cycle through the ancestral home of the Rhine and the Ried with its large fields and forests. A flat stage surrounded by nature. You reach Colmar in the early afternoon. Guided tour of one of the most beautiful towns in Alsace. The collegiate church of St Martin, the Kopfhaus, the Pfisterhaus, the tanners’ quarter, the Fischerstaden, you don’t know where to look first. At the end of the tour there is a little free time and then it’s time to be driven back to the hotel.
Day 5 Ottrott – Obernai – Ottrott 41 km
The cycle stage first leads to Obernai. This picturesque town is famous for its Renaissance market square with the typical “six-bucket fountain” dating back to 1579. Stroll through the dreamy alleyways. We then cycle to the northern part of the wine route towards Holtzheim, past the Bugatti factory. We return to Ottrott via a disused railroad line.
Day 6 Ottrott – Strasbourg 38 km
A short transfer takes you to the cycle path along the Bruche Canal. This canal was once built to transport the stones for the city fortifications from Strasbourg to the city. Along the canal and past pretty little villages, you reach the European city. Guided tour of the European city with the old town, the impressive cathedral and the picturesque tanners’ quarter “Petite France”. Picnic with a view of the European Parliament. Transfer back to Ottrott.

Departure after breakfast.
