Day 1 Ajaccio
Arrival in Ajaccio by your own means: car/ferry or plane. Boarding on the catamaran starts at 6 pm. After check—in it is time to meet for a welcome cocktail followed by the first dinner on board.
Day 2 Ajaccio – Cacalu 50 km
After 1.5 hours of sailing along the Corsican coast we arrive towards Cap Muro and shouldn’t miss a swimming in the bay before getting on the bikes for a first ride to Serra di Ferro and the beach of Capu Laurosu. During this stage we will ride through exotic nature and typical Corsican villages and then join the catamaran for the night in the bay of Cala di Conca.
Day 3 Cala di Conca – Roccapina – Fazziolu Islands 38 km
A wonderful bike tour leads us through the heart of heavenly nature punctuated by pink granite rocks and picturesque bays towards Bonifacio, a beautiful town perched on the rocks overlooking the sea. After about 38 km, return on the catamaran to sail for 2.5 hours to the islands of Fazziolu. This is where the catamaran anchors for the night.
Day 4 Fazziolu Islands – Lavezzi Islands – Bonifacio 45 km
After breakfast, you will make we will sail to the Lavezzi Islands. The spectacular pile of rocks makes you feel as if you are back in the Stone Age. The natural reserve protects a rare species of seagull and fishes in the turquoise blue sea. In these imposing rocks, erosion has formed small caves. These islands are among the most beautiful anchorages in the Mediterranean see and are accessible by boat only. Anchorage for lunch and free time for swimming. Arrival in Bonifacio in the early afternoon and departure by bike for another superb stopover around the town. Dinner on board and then opportunity to enjoy Bonifacio’s nightlife.
Day 5 Bonifacio – Arbitru Bay – Cala Lunga or Tizzano 45 km
We sail along the East Coast towards Porto Vecchio. After about 2 hours of sailing, your bike ride begins in the most beautiful bays of southern Corsica. After about 20 km you get back on board and then take the bikes for a second ride of about 18 km. Back on the boat we sail towards Tiazzano in surreal coloured bays and enjoy the last swim of the day.
Day 6 Tizzano – Cala d’Orzu – Campomoro 30 km
We lift the anchor and sail about 1.5 hours towards Cala d’Orzu. This small bay is known worldwide for its famous straw hut “Chez Francis“. After lunch we sail another 1.5 hours and drop the anchor in Campomoro for a swim before starting the day’s cycling tour in the Corsican outback. This village and its surroundings are classified as a natural reserve.
Day 7 Campomorro – Sanguinaires Islands – Ajaccio 38 km
Sailing towards the Sanguinaires Islands, an archipelago located at the entrance of the Gulf of Ajaccio: these are 4 small islands which owe their name not only to the colour of the rock, the flowers, and the flamboyant sunsets but also to the colour of the so-called black blood “sanguinari” of the coral fishermen coming from Africa who had to stay in quarantine in these islands before landing. You enjoy a last bike ride from Isolella to Ajaccio. Last dinner and night on board.
Day 8 Departure
All good things must come to an end. At 9.00 am you leave the sailboat with some sorrow but above all with wonderful memories in your head.
