Description

Southeast of Vienna, at the crossroads of the Puszta, reeds and vineyards, lies the Neusiedl Lake Nature Reserve, land of the king of wine. This landscape, marked by wine-growing hills, reed beds and salt marshes, is home to idyllic villages with stork nests and rare species such as bee-eaters, Mangaliza pigs and Przewalski’s horses. The region is renowned for its award-winning wines and Pannonian cuisine. It also offers water sports, cycling and a diverse flora and fauna.
